The WVU Humanities Center is hosting a new discussion series—Tell Me More—designed to provide a welcoming space to ignite constructive dialogue as we explore, understand, and address some of the most pressing ideas of our time.
The Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 series kicks off on Tuesday, October 28, with “Hope, Hopelessness, and the Meaning of Life,” led by Dr. David Cerbone, Philosophy Department Chair and Professor of Philosophy, and Dr. Sharon Ryan, Humanities Center Director and Professor of Philosophy.
The series is constructed around a theme and this year's theme is "Hope." Each event will have one or two discussion leaders who will prepare a short presentation to inspire community engagement.
The second in the series—“Preparing the Modern Meal: Hope and Struggle in Kenya's Urban Food System,” led by Devin Smart, PhD, WVU History Department—will be held on Tuesday, December 2.
More events in the series to come. Stay up to date at WVU Humanities Center website.
